Central Catholic families receive $2.2 million in tuition assistance each year. Central Catholic works to keep tuition as low as possible & has one of the lowest tuition rates in the state. Every family has their own tuition package. 

2024-2025 tuition costs for non-Catholic parishioners: $11,500
2024-2025 tuition costs for Catholic parishioners: $10,500

Actual cost to educate a student per year: $14,313
Average price of tuition paid after tuition assistance: $5,489

Tuition Assistance

Central Catholic makes tuition affordable for all families. 
Cost should never prevent a student from obtaining a high-quality, Catholic education.
 
School-Funded Tuition Assistance, Grants & Scholarships
$1 Million in school-funded tuition assistance & scholarships is awarded to our families each year!
Families may apply for one or more of the following annually. All applications are confidential. Financial need is determined once information is submitted to FACTS (on the right side of this page).  

  • Scholarships & Grants: 
    • Parish Tuition Scholarship
      For families who are active members of a Stark County Catholic parish.
    • Memorial & Honorary Grants
      75+ Memorial & Honorary Grants provided each year based on: financial need, academic progress, Christian example, service to others, and involvement in the community.
    • Youngstown Diocesan Grant (In memory of Mary Ellen Cushwa Wolsonovich)
      Provided by the Diocese based on financial need determined by FACTS. Families complete the FACTS application, located to the right. 
    • CCHS Band Scholarships 
      Band Scholarships worth up to $500 per year. 
    • Teachers’ Confederation Scholarship 
      The DOY Confederation of Teachers offers a renewable scholarship for selected freshmen attending CCHS and other diocese schools. Freshmen must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, show leadership and responsibility. 
    • Academic Scholarships
      Academic scholarships are awarded through Guidance Department. Applications are available to incoming freshmen students. Nearly two dozen scholarships are awarded each year.
    • Legacy Alumni Scholarship 
      Families can apply for this assistance each year, if the student has parents who attended CCHS. 
    • Stark County Catholic Elementary School Scholarship
      Yearly assistance for students with a younger sibling attending a Stark County Catholic Elementary School.

  • Volunteer Parent Scholarship Agreement 
    Parents may volunteer to earn tuition assistance. Volunteer hours can be accumulated in the school cafeteria or other maintenance areas. See the application to the right.

#1.2 Million in outside funding is awarded to our families each year in tuition assistance & scholarships!
  • EdChoice & EdChoice Expansion Scholarships 
    EdChoice Expansion: As of July 2023, EVERY family is eligible for these scholarships, regardless of income or zip code. Scholarship award amounts range from $840.80-$8408.00. To see what your family could receive, visit this EdChoice calculator.

    EdChoice: The "traditional" EdChoice program awards scholarships to students who attend or are assigned schools designated by the state of Ohio. The Stark County schools listed this year include Alliance City: Alliance High School, Alliance Middle School Canton City: AIM Academy, Belle Stone, Bulldog Virtual, Cedar Alternative, Choices Alternative, Clarendon, Crenshaw, Gibbs, Harter, McGregor, McKinley High School, STEAMM, Rush Patrick, Worley, Youtz.

  • Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Scholarships
    We offer the DOY Good Samaritan Scholarship & the SchoolChoice Ohio Every Child Every Family Scholarship. SGO's provide scholarships for families at or below 300% of the federal poverty guidelines. Families apply through FACTS.

  • RJS Foundation Scholarships
    The RJS Foundation awards $1,000-$5,000 scholarships based on need, desire for Catholic education and future goals. To apply, visit http://www.rjscanhelp.com/.  A representative from RJS Foundation will contact CCHS to let the school know if a family qualifies.

  1. Pay in full by August 1
  2. Pay in two payments – August 1 & January 1
  3. Loan through DOY Credit Union or Friends & Family Credit Union
  4. Monthly payments through FACTS

May 1: Returning family's Financial Aid & EdChoice Renewals Due 
July 1: Tuition Plan on File with CCHS
August 1: Pay in Full Payment Option or Half-Pay for Two Payment Option
January 1: Second Payment for Two Payment Option
