St. Joan of Arc Catholic School graduates may leave our halls, but they never leave our hearts


Congratulations to Central Catholic wrestler and St. Joan of Arc graduate, Jeremy Earley, Crusader Class of 2025. Jeremy won Sectionals and advanced to the District Final Match last weekend. Great job, Jeremy! 

Congratulations to St. Joan of Arc graduate and current CCHS students who were recently announced for roles in the Central Catholic & St. Thomas Aquinas joint spring musical, “The Addams Family School Edition.” The show will be performed April 19-21st at the Canton Palace Theatre, be sure to save the date to see Samantha Killea and Abby Moauro as Addams’s Family Ancestors. 


Congratulations to St. Joan of Arc graduate and current Central Catholic Featured Twirler, Lexie Rich ( Crusader Class of 2024) who continues to rack up awards for her twirling skills. The first weekend of December, she traveled to West Virginia and Miss Holiday Queen and Miss Holiday Princesses, scoring all first places! Great job, Lexie!

Special congratulations to SJA graduate & current Crusader senior, Allison Ries. Allison has qualified for the State Championship Cross Country Meet! On Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Boardman Regional, Allison Ries finished 13th, with a personal record of 19:48. She will run at the state championship meet this coming Saturday, Nov. 4, at Fortress Obetz. Good luck, Allison!

Congratulations to St. Joan of Arc graduate and Central Catholic senior, Allison Ries, a member of the Crusader Cross Country Team. She was selected as The Canton Repository’s Stark County Division II/III Runner of the Week!
According to The Canton Repository, “Ries led the Crusaders to a third-place finish at last week's Tuslaw Invitational. She came in fourth overall in 21:09. A past regional qualifier, Ries has been Central Catholic's top runner in every meet this season.”

Danny Boron, Dragon alum and Central Catholic Class of 2024 set a school record during the 2023-2024 football season. During week 5, against Alliance, he broke the school record for rushing yards in a single game with 264 yards! He had 264 rushing yards in a team effort, 70 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns that game. Way to go, Danny, and great job to Crusaders Football!

We want to wish special congratulations to SJA alum and now Central Catholic student, Jonathan Stangl. He recently completed training with Central’s Campus Minister, Deacon Randy, to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He has joined Central’s student Liturgical Ministry Team which includes altar servers, readers, musicians, prayer leaders, and Eucharistic ministers. Nearly 20% of CCHS students are on the Liturgical Ministry Team, leading the student body in prayer and worship. We’re proud to see him deepening his faith.

Congratulations to SJA graduates, Quinton Burick and Owen Burick, who have been cast in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, the Central Catholic & St. Thomas Aquinas joint spring musical. The show will be staged at the beautiful Canton Palace Theatre, April 14-16! Ticket information will be released soon. Congratulations to the Central Catholic Crusaders Swim Team. They are having a fantastic season and we are proud to see former graduates of our school helping them achieve success. 
On December 30th, the Crusaders traveled to Salem to swim against 8 other teams. The team, as a whole, placed first! 
 
The Crusader gentlemen also placed first in Men’s Team. Special congratulations to former Dragon, Vincenzo O’Brien who also had his own first place finish.
 
The Lady Crusaders placed second in Women’s Team with many individual first place finishes. 
 
This marks another Crusader swim meet lots of season and lifetime bests. Great job, Crusaders! Good luck as your season progresses.

These students were selected through a combination of peer input and coach selection. They are considered leaders on and off the court, who display leadership, integrity, and a positive attitude. Congratulations, Crusaders! 
Two SJA Dragons named 1st Team All County
Congratulations to CCHS students Allison Ries who was named 1st team All County Division III for Girls Cross Country. Congratulations, also, to CCHS student Luke Vlacovsky who was named 1st team All County Division III for Crusaders Boys Cross Country.

Congratulations to St. Joan of Arc alum, Dan Boron. Dan now attends Central Catholic High School, where he is a valued member of the Crusaders Football Team. He was featured in Greater Canton's top 2022 high school football defensive backs!
