LAST WEEK: Aquinas 48, Newton Falls 0; Trinity 25, Rittman 7

THE MATCHUP: The Knights appear to be peaking at the right time. A four-game winning streak has followed a two-game stretch where they struggled to score and stop teams from scoring. Now the tables have turned. Aquinas has outscored its opponents 104-13 during the win streak. ... The Knights' Asian Burt is heating up for what he hopes is a long postseason run. Burt has scored on six plays of more than 25 yards during the win streak. One of his two TDs against Newton Falls came on a 60-yard punt return. ... Aquinas has had at least one interception return for a touchdown in four straight games. DL Kesston Wanchick's had a pick-six last week. ... Trinity is a former North Coast League opponent of Aquinas. The Trojans are 5-0 against teams under .500 and have lost both games against opponents with winning records. ... The Knights are trying to reach the third round of the playoffs for the first time since their Division IV state runner-up season in 1985.
