Student council plays an important role in the experiences our school body enjoys. Our student leaders plan many school-wide events. As leaders of a Catholic high school, student council takes on a deeper meaning because faith lies at the heart of all that we do. Our students are called to lead with faith, character, and integrity - a tall order!
To help student council members to be faith-filled leaders, council members of Central Catholic's and St. Thomas Aquinas' freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior classes are headed to a special leadership retreat experience tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 22.
During the leadership retreat, members of our Central Catholic and St. Thomas Aquinas campus ministry teams will lead students in team building and discussions of what leadership rooted in faith looks like.
Students will begin the day with a prayer service, enjoy breakfast and lunch sponsored by St. Benedict Catholic Parish & Tomtreyco McDonald's, listen to guest speakers who will discuss faith-filled leadership and the meaning of character and integrity, and students will have the opportunity to craft projects that will inspire each of their school communities to act with Faith, Character & Integrity.
We are looking forward to a day of faith, leadership, and fellowship!
