Congratulations to Ms. Emerick who was the STA Middle School nominee for The Repository’s September Teacher of the Month. She teaches middle school math. Ms. Emerick is to be commended for finding innovative ways to keep students engaged, she continually comes up with ways to make math fun. She also takes extra steps to share class highlights with families, as well as share success stories. Ms. Emerick is dedicated to offering students and families a positive learning experience.

Congratulations to Mr. Vagedes who was the STA High School nominee for the September Teacher of the Month. Mr. Vagedes has been committed to the Aquinas community for decades, serving in a variety of roles. He filled the role of principal for many years but made the decision to return to the classroom as he wanted to be more involved with the learning process itself. Mr. Vagedes has a true love for his students and makes a point to get to know all of his students personally. He is also a knowledgeable science teacher and is noted for his success in preparing Aquinas students for collegiate success and earning the highest test scores in science here in Stark County.
