Three more student-athletes have committed to collegiate athletics from the Crusader Class of 2025:
Eli Ehret, Easton Miller, and Jeremy Earley
Eli Ehret has committed to swim at Malone University. Ehret was a four-year swimmer for Central Catholic, he is also a member of the Crusader Tennis Team. He has earned varsity letters in both sports. His scholarship to Malone is particularly special to him; he shared, “I’m excited to swim at Malone and follow in the footsteps of Coach Matt Mazey,” the Central Catholic Swim Coach, who is a graduate of Malone. In addition to athletics, he is a member of the French Club, the Spanish Club, and is active in the St. Michael Youth Ministry Program. Despite his busy schedule, he has maintained a 3.8 GPA. Eli is the son of Rachel Ehret, and they are members of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Easton Miller has signed with Otterbein University with plans to run cross country and track while studying athletic training. Miller has been a tri-sport athlete for the Crusaders, running cross country in the fall, playing basketball in the winter, and running track in the spring. He has received many accolades during his high school career, earning All Stark County First Team in Cross Country in 2024, All Stark County Second Team in Cross Country in 2023, and All Stark County Honorable Mention in Basketball in 2025. In addition to athletics, he is a member of the Chess Club, Pickleball Club, and Spanish Club. He is also a member of the National Honor Society and maintains a 4.4 GPA. Easton is the son of Erica and Adam Miller.
Jeremy Earley Jr. has decided to play baseball at Ohio Wesleyan University. In addition to playing on the Crusader Baseball Team, he was a member of the Crusader Wrestling Team. While wrestling, he has earned 100 wins and was named All County Honorable Mention and All County Third Team. Earley shared that he selected OWU, “because of the smaller class sizes and the coaches and players on the baseball team.” Jeremy is the son of Karrie Risher and Jeremy Earley Sr, and a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish.
Central Catholic is pleased to have these student-athletes join the long line of Crusader athletes who have advanced to collegiate athletics. 85% of Central Catholic students participate in athletics. 60% of those athletes participate in more than one sport. Central Catholic believes that athletics play an important role in developing faith, excellence, leadership, and commitment in students.
