Campus Ministry:
“Day In May” ~ May Crowning is Sunday, May 18th @ the CCHS Grotto! It will begin at 12:30 with the Rosary, followed by Mass at 1:00 pm and then the May Crowning immediately after Mass.The grotto committee is looking for students to be in the May Crowning procession and to "crown" the statue of Mary in this traditional event and is hoping to have each class represented with 1 or more persons. See GC to sign up.
Social Studies:
Attention Summer Government: Classes will begin May 19th at 3 pm directly after school in Mr. Johnson's room (217)
Profit Ninjas:
The Profit Ninjas are having a Spring Blowout Sale today before school and during both lunch periods. Extreme discounts (50%) on all clothing items.
Athletics:
The Central lacrosse team fought a tough battle last night and came out victorious, beating Glenoak 11-7 and improving their record to 15-2. Conner Thomas led the scoring with 5 goals, followed by Ricky Salvino and Dominic Bogdan with 2 goals each, and Grady Noggle and Bryce Stalnaker with 1 goal each. Rocco Ross had some amazing saves, and Isaac Ray, John White, Brock Abbott, John Fabek and Wes Zuchegno created mayhem on the defense. Assists were provided by Bryce Stalnaker, Conner Thomas, Dominic Bogdan, Grady Noggle, and Ricky Salvino. The team travels to John Glenn tonight for the last regular season game.
Track will have an away meet this afternoon at 4:30pm at Fairless High School
Softball will have a home game this evening at 5:00pm against Chippewa.
JV Baseball will have an away game this evening at 5:00pm against Alliance.

Athletics:
The boys tennis team won their third match in a row defeating Massillon 3-2. Taking the three points for the Cru were Tommy Wolf at first singles,Mason Schilling at second singles, and Luke Paul at third.
Varsity Baseball beat Central Christian last night 7-0. They will have a home game tonight against Barberton at 5:00pm.
JV & Varsity Lacrosse will have a home game this evening against Glenoak. JV will begin at 5:00pm followed by Varsity at 7:00pm.

Yearbook:
Juniors and Seniors! We hope you had a truly magical prom last weekend. Don't forget that the Vigil would love to see your photos for this year's yearbook. Use the link in your Google Classroom or the QR codes around school to submit your photos for consideration.
Athletics:
Last night, the lacrosse team beat Louisville at home on Senior Night. Goalie Rocco Ross had 5 saves which led to the first shut-out of the season, with the team winning 15-0. Isaac Ray, John Fabek, Limyere Goodgame, Brock Abbott, and John White created mayhem on the defense, causing numerous turnovers and countless blocked shots. Marty Mikulas was the leading scorer with four goals, followed by Conner Thomas and Bryce Stalnaker with three goals each, Ricky Salvino and Dominic Bogdan with two goals each, and John White with one goal. Bryce Stalnaker, Grady Noggle, Conner Thomas, Isaac Ray, Marty Mikulas and John White all provided assists as well. Congratulations also go out to Ricky Salvino, who was named Ohio MaxPreps High School Athlete of the Week for Week 33. The team plays their last regular season home game this Thursday against Glenoak, with JV starting at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00.

6 volunteers are needed for the Guardian Angels Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 8th, from 12 pm to 3 pm. Student helpers will be assisting/overseeing kids games. See GC for contact info if you would like to do this.
The Family Fun Area at Holy Family Parish (St. Clement's in Navarre) is in need of enthusiastic student volunteers for this year’s event, taking place on June 5th-7th. They are looking for volunteers to help make this event a fun and memorable experience for everyone. See the attached sheet on GC for more info and to sign up with their QR code.

Crusaders meeting Christ is meeting this Wednesday, May 7th at 7:15am in the Cafeteria. You still can join and learn how sports and faith go hand in hand.
Drama Club:
All members of the cast or crew of the fall play, student directed one acts, or spring musical are welcome to attend the first annual Drama Banquet! It will be May 12 at 6pm at the Massillon Eagles. Tickets are $20 and available in the main office. All theatre students and their families are welcome to attend. Deadline to purchase tickets is today. Any questions see Dr. Ostertag.

On Friday night AT Carrollton after storm delays, the boys track team finished 6 of 12 teams. Placing for the Crusaders were Aidan Nasvadi, Easton Miller, Grant Eberhardt, Carlos Cantera-Quintero, Jonathan Stangl, Shea Donadeo, Vince Sciaretti, Jeremiah Watts, Griffin Rohr, and Derron Chisholm, The girls team placed 9th. Placing were Isis Hall, Ellie Buckler, Molly Marceric, Celeste Levengood, Lily Bentzel, Sara Barnett, Anna Schervisch, Jade Kirby, Ally Mendoza, Sara Schmidt, and Sophia Puperi.
